Newport Care and Repair have been successfully accepted onto the ‘Be Gas Safe’ Programme aimed at reducing carbon monoxide poisoning amongst the most vulnerable people in the community.

Managed by RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) and on behalf of the Gas Safe Charity, the campaign will look to increase the awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning by educating and advising on the importance of gas safety.

As well as distributing over 2000 gas safety leaflets throughout the City, Care and Repair will receive 200 carbon monoxide alarms for distribution to ‘vulnerable’ people who are deemed at an increased risk of carbon monoxide poisoning
